In 2020 Carl Batt opted to follow his dream of starting and building his own pharmaceutical company, not only using his financial expertise but also using his strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.

 

Carl gained invaluable experience during his 16 years in the South African and Sub-Saharan Pharmaceutical Industries, of which the last 11 years were spent in Senior Financial roles for multinational pharmaceutical organizations. Carl served as the CFO for Teva Pharmaceuticals from 2016 to 2020 and prior to that, as the Financial Director for Actavis (Pty) Ltd, Pharmascript Pharmaceutical Ltd, Arrow Pharma (Pty) Ltd, Watson Pharma (Pty) Ltd and served as Head of Finance – Generics at Allergan. He has formed part of many new product launches and as quality is always of the highest importance, the Catalyst Health product range will mimic the quality that is normally associated with multination corporations.

 

Catalyst Health was molded with the vision of offering unique complimentary and alternative medicines to the South African market. The opportunity to start working on “Best in its Class” formulations started in earnest during the Covid-19 lockdown. A global negative event afforded Catalyst the time required to turn the lockdown into a positive event.

 

All products will comply with anticipated SAHPRA changes to complementary and alternative medicine regulations, are Nappi coded and contain a QR image that will direct healthcare professionals and patients to the Catalyst Health website where package inserts and patient information leaflets will be available to view on the Catalyst Health website.

 

Simply put, the Catalyst Health products will not only have a unique feel and look but will also contain formulations that are of superior quality.
